The scenic mountain town of Theog (Lat 31.12 degree N, Long 77.36 degree E) is situated at an altitude of 2283 meters above mean sea level, an hour drive from Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. The town has a population of about 4353 and the main occupation of the natives is vegetable dominant horticulture.
